While navigating the challenges of the COVID-19 epidemic, our family, much like countless others, grappled with isolation and the toll it took on mental well-being. Seeking reprieve from the monotony of endless Netflix nights, a pivotal moment unfolded in late 2021 when, out of sheer frustration, I unearthed a jigsaw puzzle—a refreshing departure from the mindless glow of screens.

Gathered around the kitchen table, we pieced together a now fateful jigsaw puzzle that proved to be transformative. Conversation flowed, stress lowered, and we felt an extra level of connection. A light-bulb moment around the humble jigsaw puzzle; not just relaxation but a powerful tool for fostering human connections, and positive mental health.

Intrigued, my research discovered a widespread resurgence of interest in jigsaw puzzles, fueled by the pandemic. Empty store shelves and celebrities proudly showcasing their puzzling prowess on social media revealed the renaissance of puzzles as a trendy and social activity.

With a background as a Product Designer for tech startups, the vision crystallized — to create a new, unique puzzle experience, catering to both a new generation and the established puzzle aficionados. With a goal to create something groundbreaking, I combined magical augmented-reality experiences with the classic jigsaw puzzle.

And so, Puzzle Tubes was conceived—a fusion of classic and modern. Now the end of the puzzle experience is just the beginning!
