During the pandemic, I hit a point where I couldn't stand to stare at Netflix for one more minute. So, I dusted off a jigsaw puzzle and thought, "why not?" 😂

Lo and behold, hours later, my wife, our daughter, and I were huddled around the table, working on the puzzle together. We were all surprised by how calm and relaxed we felt, which is not a feeling we'd had in, like, forever.

As a Product Designer, this got me thinking: maybe puzzles are the key to world peace? Just kidding (or am I?). But seriously, the experience inspired me to create something special that would help other families experience the same kind of relaxation and fun.

Listen, I always thought jigsaw puzzles were just a fun way to pass the time. But it turns out, they're like a miracle cure for stress reduction, increased connection, focus, and even short term memory improvements. There are even studies that suggest they can help fight memory loss and dementia, and boost adult IQ. Who knew?

Apparently, everyone except me! NBA players, soccer stars, and even Kylie Jenner are all on the jigsaw bandwagon. And if that's not enough to convince you, just take a look at Instagram - people are showing off their completed puzzles left and right.

I wanted to launch a different kind of puzzle company, so I evaluated everything about puzzles.

Channeling my inner Richard Branson meets James Dyson, what could I do to make Puzzle Tubes innovative to deliver something truly different to the millions of avid puzzlers worldwide?

As a designer, I have a keen eye for the arts, and let's face it, these times are tough for our creative friends out there. So, I thought, why not team up and bring a little bit of their magic into your everyday life? It's like having your very own personal art genie to grant all your aesthetic wishes.

And speaking of wishes, have you ever heard of Shinrin-yoku (森林浴) "forest bathing"? It's this fancy Japanese term that means soaking in the goodness of nature, like taking a bath in the forest (without the bubbles, unfortunately).

Whenever I'm feeling stressed, I like to hike around the gorgeous San Francisco Bay area, and now, with these partnerships, I can give back to nature in my own little way.

Did you know that a hundred trees can rid the air of 53 tons of carbon dioxide and 430 pounds of other pollutants a year? That's like nature's own superhero squad cleaning up our messes! And speaking of superheroes, our partners over at One Tree Planted are doing some pretty amazing work in planting trees across the globe.

We're talking over 40 million trees in 47 countries - that's like a forest the size of a small country! And get this - in 2021, they more than doubled their impact from the previous year, planting a whopping 23.5 million trees. Now that's some serious tree-planting power, folks!
